Characteristics
An elegant tropical bamboo but hardy nonetheless. Non-invasive. Grows to 10 metres tall. New culms covered in a white bloom. In the second year pale green stripes run up the culm. Not much foliage for the first 2 metres when mature.
Requirements
A mature clump gets to 1.5 metres across at ground level. Needs full sun or light shade.
How fast?
A fast growing bamboo. Depending on your conditions takes 3 years to reach full height.
